What is Drawing and Talking?

Drawing and Talking is an effective early therapeutic intervention suitable for children, adolescents and adults. A safe and gentle method to process emotional pain and trauma, to heal within.

 

Through positive attachment, Drawing and Talking is a safe and gentle method which allows the client to process emotional pain and trauma within a safe place in a non confrontational way.

The process gives the individual a feeling of control over events, through drawing they can make a different end to their story.

 

This safe and gentle therapy is a CAMHS recommended Tier 1-2 early intervention. The process is carried out with weekly sessions of 30 minutes over 12 weeks. Can also be completed on zoom.

Same time, same place, same person.

 

With in the sessions, you will work with me to make sense of your internal world and emotions.

The therapy is designed to help you survive, cope with, resolve and move through any trauma and difficulties you are dealing with.

        Who is it for?

Any child, young person or adult impacted at any level by emotional events, struggles or trauma.

This gentle intervention can support individuals facing a variety of challenges.

  • Experience nightmares/disturbed sleep.

  • Risk of being excluded from school.

  • Suffered trauma.

  • Is (or in process of being) adopted or fostered.

  • Suffers from anxiety or phobias.

  • Chromic illness or disability.

  • Suffered loss or bereavement.

  • Gender dystopia or problems with identity.

  • Withdrawn or continually unhappy.

  • Experienced substance misuse themselves or by a family member.

  • Bullies others or bullied themselves.

  • Engages in self -injurious behaviour.

  • Struggling to cope with divorce or separation.

  • Experienced domestic abuse.

  • A young carer or carer.

  • Low self -esteem

  • Experiencing parental mental health issues.

Drawing and Talking is a CAMHS recommended Tier 1-2 early intervention for all ages from age 5+.

 

1 - 1 for 30 minutes every week across 12 consecutive weeks.

Same time , same place, same person.

​

Each session is £30, £360 for your 12 sessions.

Sessions can be also be completed online.

​

Can be paid in full or 3 separate payments.

​

Discount for schools, NHS, Veterans, Regular Soldiers and Reserves.
